What is Soldering?
(pronounced "soddering") is a process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and flowing a "filler metal" (solder- with a lower melting temperature) into the joint. The molecules of the "host metal(s)" expand allowing the solder to flow through using capillary action. When both metals cool a molecular bond is formed between the two items.
